What you’ll need
  • 9-14 bundles of mini faux tulips, the more flowers the more full your wreath will look.
  • Foam wreath form
  • Spool of 1.5 inch satin ribbon
  • Wire cutters
  • Floral pins or a hot glue gun
  • Twine or string

These can all be purchased from your local Michaels or other craft stores!

How To
  1. Using the wire cutters snip the large stem, leaving a few inches of stem below the base of each bush.
  2. Secure the ribbon to the wreath with hot glue or floral pins
  3. Begin wrapping the ribbon around the wreath, tucking in the tulips. Keep the ribbon tight!
  4. Continue to wrap and tuck around the wreath, until you can wiggle the last stems into the spot you placed the first tulips.
  5. After placing your last tulip, secure the ribbon with a hot glue gun or a pin, leaving a tail of ribbon a few inches long
  6. Fold ribbon tail around a loop, and secure ribbon to wreath.

Paint Drip Flowerpot

If you find the tulip wreath a little too technical for you, no problem! Paint drip flowerpots are a kid favorite, as they are an easy, creative, messy outdoor activity. Plus the outcome can make a beautiful mothers day gift!

What you’ll need
  • Clay Flowerpot
  • Acrylic paint
  • Clear outdoor sealer, if keeping outdoors.
How To

Place your flowerpot upside down on top of a plank of wood, over top a smaller glass jar, or use another method. By raising your pot it allows the paint to drip off of the rim, instead of pooling around the rim and making it difficult to dry and creating a messy mix of paint around the rim. You can place a plastic or paper plate underneath to catch excess paint.

Make sure to cover the hole under the pot with a sticker or tape, and remember to remove the tape before you use your pot for flowers.

Begin painting! Start with one color and pool the paint on top of the pot, letting it drip down the sides.

Repeat with as many colors as you choose, make it your own and have fun!

Allow the pots 24-72 hours to dry.

Yum!
