Squirt Gun Painting

As summer begins to heat up and kids start to grow bored, grab your paint and squirt guns to try out this fun creative craft!

What you’ll need

  • Squirt guns or plastic spray bottles
  • Watercolor paper
  • Liquid watercolors

An easel can be used to prop up the paper, or you can use a thumbtack and a tree.

The most important part is to properly dilute your paint so that is does not clog the nozzle of your water gun.

Washable liquid watercolor works best, but you can use any type of paint as long as it is properly mixed with water. To make light, pastel colors, add more water.

Set up your paper and fill the water guns or squirt bottle with paint, and begin!  Once you are finished painting leave it out to dry on the grass, using rocks to weigh down the paper if needed.
