Who doesn’t love homemade burgers?! This recipe is a go-to for camping and RVing all-year-round! These homemade burgers are super simple to prepare and taste gourmet.
Camping tip: make up the patties before you head out and then cook them when you get to your campsite! Prepared patties can be kept in the fridge for 1-2 days or in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
Ingredients
1lb ground beef
1 egg
1/4 cup of your favorite cheese, shredded
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp yellow or Dijon mustard
Mixing Directions
1. Whisk your egg in a medium-sized bowl.
2. Add in cheese, onion, garlic, spices, salt and pepper, Worcestershire, and mustard. Mix to combine.
3. Crumble beef into mixture and mix lightly with a fork or your hands.
4. Form 4 patties with your hands. Each patty should be about 3/4″ or 2 cm thick.
*Try to handle the burgers as little as possible so that they don’t become tough, dry, or crumbly.
Cooking Directions
1. Place patties on a hot grill and cook for about 6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 71°C (160°F).
2. Once your burgers are cooked, serve them up immediately with your favorite toppings and sauces!
